Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Matthew 18:21

This question is the conclusion that Peter arrives to once Jesus has answered the first question about who is the greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.  The matters of binding and loosing will, inherently, involve forgiving the one who has sinned against the church.  But this kind of forgiveness is something that is outrageous, and Peter knows it.  How many times is a person to look past sin that has been done?  How many times do you forgive?  What does that look like?

Jesus' response shapes our understanding of forgiveness, but also our own hearts as we consider how we can possibly keep forgiving.
