The ransomed of the Lord will return and come to Zion with singing, crowned with unending joy. Joy and gladness will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee. Isaiah 35:10

Here is a described state of being that seems to be in constant joy; a gladness that persists and drives away darkness and despair. Where does this joy come from? Where does a follower of Jesus find this kind of joy that allows us to remain strong and operate without fear in a challenge and hurtful world? This week’s encouragement from Isaiah 35 gives us a glimpse of where we are able to find this kind of lasting joy so that we are able to continuing living in faith and discipleship in a world that does not care for either.
