“Did God really say, ‘You can’t eat from any tree in the garden’?” Genesis 3:1
As we begin our series in the season of Lent, we become keenly aware of our need for a Saviour as we explore these scene in Scripture when the sinfulness of humanity came into being. As we look into the account of Adam and Eve being tempted by the Devil (see Rev. 12:9), we are also able to see our own common part in this narrative. We ourselves become more susceptible to temptation when certain conditions present themselves. We find that when we share these conditions, we open ourselves up to sinful behaviour, creating distance from our God who loves us. However, at each turn, we are able to come back to Jesus and rely on the Holy Spirit to help us in our time of need.
