Exodus 34

Then he said, “My Lord, if I have indeed found favor with you, my Lord, please go with us (even though this is a stiff-necked people), forgive our iniquity and our sin, and accept us as your own possession.” Exodus 34:9

In this first week of our series on the mission of WEFC, we explore how we can discover and grow in our intimacy with God.  Having intimacy with God involves closeness, and this closeness to God is illustrated profoundly in this scene where Moses appeals to God that he would continue to walk with the Israelite people as they moved towards the land of Promise.  Couple with this request is Moses' added request to see the glory of God.  What follows is one of the most intimate and moving portions of Scripture, where we see what is needed for us to remain intimate with God.
