We live in a culture and time that is keenly interested in the value of a person. Every individual seeks affirmation in the expression of themselves, of their vocations, of their actions, or of their thoughts. Social media compounds these requests for the affirmation of an individual's worth.
But we find our true worth in the creating work of God who made us in his image. In this Psalm, we find that the magnificence of God can be seen in creation, but most specifically, in the human race that has been given the privilege to rule over creation as we bear God's image and impression. Here is where our value lies and how God's magnificence is witnessed.
