The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Christmas celebrates the arrival of Jesus Christ into the world. He arrived in flesh; in our flesh. He shares our humanity so that he can atone for the totality of humanity. But we can also observe his glory. Earlier in John 1, Jesus is described as the life that shines in the darkness. His arrival in this way brings light into our darkest hour. As we respond to the invitation to come and adore Christ the newborn King, may we celebrate the light he brings into our lives as we receive him.
