Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come, and not the reality itself of those things, it can never perfect the worshipers by the same sacrifices they continually offer year after year. Hebrews 10:1
Over the past couple weeks, we have been able to see the way the author of Hebrews highlights the superiority of Jesus' sacrifice for us. While it is important for us to know how much better the sacrifice was, sometimes we lose sight of what benefit this is for those who trust in Jesus and his sacrifice. The Old Testament law was something that pointed to wonderful realities but could only accomplish a hint or fragment of those realities. The law was not able to perfect or complete the people of God, but Jesus is death on the cross was. This week, we explore what perfection and good things come to those who trust in this sacrifice.
