Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus—the great Shepherd of the sheep—through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever., Amen. Hebrews 13:20–21
As we conclude this series in the book of Hebrews, we set our minds on the person and work of Jesus in order to direct our pursuit of God so that we can please him. This final prayer for the readers of this book asks that God would be peace to the reader, but also that each one who hears is able to be equipped by God to accomplish those things that are pleasing to him. This week, we will consider this prayer and the ways that it becomes a reality for each person who anchors their hope in Christ.
